Vermont author Natalie Kinsey-Warnock wrote A Farm of Her Own, in honor of her great aunt Ada.

Of Scottish ancestry, the writer still lives on the farm where she was raised and has added the playing of bagpipes to her many skills as an artist, athlete and naturalist. Ooops, and did we mention her 7 dogs and 7 cats?

 A Farm of Her Own was illustrated by Kathleen Kolb, also a native Vermonter.
