Here's a concept that is far from new, yet still at the top! 

The Bormioli family manufactures these famous Fido air-tight glass jars in many sizes. We offer a set of 3 here. All are made in Fidenza, Italy.

The handsome blue-top Fido jars seal out air, contaminants, bugs and inquiring little fingers. A wire clasp (bale) holds the top absolutely firmly onto the rim of the jar. Foods stay fresh far longer. 

In our own Vermont larder, we use these jars for grains, pasta, dog biscuits, crackers, jams, coffee, beans, sugar, prunes, raisins, nuts...whatever!  The glass walls are thick. The rubber seal is damn durable. The wire bales virtually fail-proof!

It's a simple concept. Once you've opened a normal food package, air begins to mingle with the good stuff inside.  The process...from good, to bad, to worse can be swift. We suggest you transfer that good stuff to a Fido jar and enjoy it far longer.
