At the Hero's Welcome General Store, we sell, rent and launch kayaks all summer long! 

Not a day passes without cars arriving, then soon disgorged of boating gear opposite our private ramp.  We sell America's leading brand of Old Town Kayaks, as well as paddles, vests, carts and touring gear.  Our store is less than 40 ft. from the water's edge and is FILLED with provisions for spending a day or a lifetime on the lake.

In history, the lake served as a great boundary line between four warring nations...Iroquois Indians on the West bank, Abenaki on the East, French to the North, English to the South.  Visiting the islands was not recommended at the time, if you valued your scalp.
