The Brits call bathrooms the WC, or amongst friends, "The Loo". In earlier days these hideaways were known as "Necessary Rooms". Makes sense to us, for surely they were all of that. On this side of the ocean we confused their purpose by coining "Powder Rooms" Out Houses and Bath Rooms. And that's not even counting "The Crapper" "WC" works well in a discreet way...the very essence of British elan.
