Product Overview

Our night gown is made of 100% fine cotton poplin that becomes softer and whiter with each wash. Long sleeve, buttons at neck and wrist, ankle length.

We first discovered our Westminster Nightgown nearly 30 years ago in a London antique shop...a forgotten treasure from Edwardian England.

Fascinated by the sweep of it, the pintucks, pleats and French seams we set upon creating an exact copy for our American shops which traded under the name WestminsterLace. It was destined to become an inspiring success.

We are gratified to know that these classic nighties are still cherished today. One woman slips hers on to watch Downton Abbey!

Recently, we decided to re-introduce the garment, with the same dedication to authenticity, comfort and durability. We present it here at an introductory price of $65.

We believe that you, or someone you admire will love it. We ship goods all over the world. We also offer beautiful gift wrapping and expedited delivery. Ground freight to the "lower 48" is free.

It can be machine washed, and dried, but also thrives on a sunny clothesline. You may iron it, or not, as suits your pleasure!

We offer the Westminster Nightgown in women's sizes S-M-L(We are currently out of XS,XL). The Nightgowns run large, and we suggest that you order a size smaller than you normally wear.

Gorgeous nightie, impeccably made. Runs big!

Posted by Ann on Jul 10th 2020

I love my new nightgown! I typically wear a size L or XL but the M in this runs v. large. No objections since I like my sleepwear to be generously sized. Yes, the fabric is heavier than most nighties one sees nowadays which are usually made of lightweight cotton lawn. While this is made from a thicker fabric, the cotton feels very silky like high quality sheeting. So glad I found this!

    Beautiful Gown

Posted by CCB on Mar 1st 2017

Gown is beautiful. I expected the gown to wrinkle when washed since it it cotton. I only hope that with time it will soften and will wrinkle less when washed. I want to order a second gown but am not sure I am up for the ironing.

    Super well- made

Posted by Unknown on Feb 27th 2017

I received my gown. I have a marked affinity for whit nightgowns. This one would have been perfect if it had been made from a different fabric. It's described as broadcloth that softens over time . Hopefully it will - it's very stiff - I've washed it about 5 times with no change. I'm not giving up because the design is amazing. I ordered a medium - based on the recommendation to order a size down :..coulda used a small. Again - design and workmanship are unparalleled.

Well made, excellent fabric, beautiful design. The sizing is delightfully roomy so the medium instead of large was a good choice.

And found right here thanks to Hero's Welcome and the advent of online shopping. I absolutely love this gown. It's roomy for sure... no more fighting my gown at night to turn over in bed. The gown is extremely well-made of durable cotton fabric and is very comfortable. Looking forward to many peaceful nights sleep. Extremely pleased with this find.

Excellent product, just runs very large

Posted by AC on Oct 21st 2016

Just received the full-length cotton nightgown (size S) - excellent quality and nicely packaged in a gauzy cotton bag with pink ribbon drawstrings. The nightgown is supposed to be roomy and billowy; I'm 5'4" and 155lbs and the S size was the correct length, but I should've probably ordered the XS size, as there is a lot of extra fabric. I'm hoping it'll shrink a little in the wash/dryer. Other than that, this nightgown will last for years -- its very well-made/sturdy and I look forward to wearing it this winter!
